Yes!  You can watch full length ballets by borrowing a physical DVD from the library, or watching it online.

Search Process:

  1. Begin your search in WMS by searching for the ballet title.
  2. Once you have reached the result page, use the limiters on the left column of the page under format to limit your search to only video.

  3. After reaching the results page, there will be two options of videos, an eVideo you can view from online, and a DVD video that you can check out at the library.

You can click view online to stream the video on your computer screen

This DVD is available to be checked out at Irwin Library.  Retrieve the DVD case from the basement and check the movie out from the Information Commons desk.

If you are interested in browsing Irwin Library's ballet DVD selections, look for the Library of Congress call number starting with GV 1585 in the basement.

Special Collections also includes some Butler Ballet performances. Those cannot leave the library. Some related materials such as programs or other written materials have been digitized and are available for viewing or download from Butler's Digital Image Collections page or Digital Commons.
