If Webprint doesn't work from an ipad, laptop, or phone, we suggest you log into a tech quad or lab computer and print from there. If using a mobile device, be sure that you are signed in using the secure wireless.  Butler's Information Technology department via ask.butler has information about adding printers.

On 1.14.22 IT announced that "Users may now print to publicly accessible printers directly from any of their personal devices, including Windows computers, Apple computers, and either Apple or Android smartphones/tablets.

To print to a Butler printer from your personal computer/smartphone/tablet device, please ensure your device is connected to BU Secure Wireless, and then follow the instructions (linked below) to add the printer to your device. Once a document has been printed, it can be released at designated Butler public printers by scanning the QR code on the printer, then logging in with your Butler username and password.

There are three library printers that now have a QR code for job release:

  • IL Color
