Because the library is organized by the Library of Congress classification system, there is not a specific section that houses fiction or nonfiction. Instead, some are spread throughout the library based on their subject. Most fiction is on the second floor or in the browsing section on the first floor of Irwin Library.  Young Adult and children's fiction is in the Education Library on South Campus.

Because our library is focused on research, you will find our collection of pleasure reading texts is smaller in comparison to a public library.

However, we do have a Browsing Collection where some best sellers and other popular fiction and nonfiction titles are shelved. The Browsing collection is on the first floor, located to your left as you enter Irwin Library, in the alcove with the vending machines.

Check the catalog by title or author to find the correct call number and view the map of where it is; we also have some fiction books on the second floor of Irwin.  Most Young Adult and younger reader fiction is located with the College of Education on South Campus.
