The majority of copyright centers in the United States do not write permission letters on behalf of faculty.   Based on this best practice, Irwin Library is happy to provide advice but faculty or staff will have to write their own letters. This having been noted, if faculty or staff do seek out permissions and are denied the Irwin Library can attempt to purchase rights on their behalf.
