There is a known issue with specific past versions of the Windows Recorder where the default to upload in the background is disabled. 

How do I resolve this issue?

  1. Open Panopto for Windows
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Enable the option to Upload when Panopto is closed
  4. Select Save.
