Q. How do I download the Panopto Recorder?

Note: To download the recorder you must be a Creator in Panopto. When installing the Recorder enter butler.hosted.panopto.com as the host website.

You can download the Panopto Recorder one of two ways:

• From the Panopto Website - butler.hosted.panopto.com
  1. ​​Log in to the Panopto website through Canvas with your Butler username and Password
  2. Once logged in select the link below your name labeled Download Panopto
  3. Open the download and follow the instructions to install the Recorder on your computer

• From Canvas
  1. Log into your Canvas Course and locate the Panopto Recordings link from your navigation menu
  2. At the top of the page, click the blue Create button. 
  3. Choose Record a New Session from the drop-down menu
  4. Click Download Panopto
  5. Follow the instructions to install the recorder on your computer
