Print, copy, scan and fax policies are on the library web page.
Butler students, faculty, public, and alumni can copy materials using the machines in the public area of Irwin Library and the Science Library. Black and white copier costs for Butler students, staff and faculty are deducted from their PrintSmart accounts. Butler alumni, guests, or special borrowers may ask at the Information Commons desk about making a small amount of copies for 20 cents per side, payable only in cash. Use of scanners to save copies as PDFs to a flash drive or send to email is available at no charge.
Please note general public and alumni don't have printing privileges at Butler. The public library is an option for public printing from a computer or smartphone.
The scanners/copiers are located by the printers in both libraries. The copier/scanner in the Science Library is to your left when you walk in. In Irwin, it's on the first floor near the printers. If you need any help with the copier/scanner, please notify front desk staff at either library (the Information Commons desk in Irwin, the circulation desk at the Science Library). We are glad to assist you.
Color printing in small quantities is available at Irwin and Science for currently enrolled Butler students, faculty, and staff, for 25 cents per side, payable only in cash. Color print jobs will need to be released by a staff member, so please visit the service desk at either library location for assistance. Large print jobs should be handled through Campus Impressions copy center in the Holcomb Building, Room 23 (317-940-6495), or a retail copying location such as Fed Ex Kinkos in Broad Ripple.
