The proxy URL is prepended to the database links throughout our website. Any of the links to databases have this at the beginning:

https://ezproxy.butler.edu/login?url=

followed by the URL for the specific database.

If EndNote is asking for a proxy URL, this would be it. If you use our Database lists and click on links from there, the proxy information will be automatically included as you access the database.

Databases are available in the Database A to Z listing on the Library website:  https://www.butler.edu/library/find/databasesAlmost all of our databases are accessible from off campus. To use them from off campus, though, requires logging in through our proxy server.

To use the databases, do NOT click on your own bookmarks. Instead, use the links found on the Butler Libraries Databases pages.

This will take you to the EZ-Proxy Log-in page. Use your Butler username and password to connect, and then you will be able to use the database.

If that doesn't work and you are using the AnyConnect VPN  to access UpToDate on campus,  try disconnecting and accessing UpToDate via this link: https://ezproxy.butler.edu/login?url=http://www.uptodate.com/contents/search?unid=^u&srcsys=EZPX177987&forceHttps=true

Butler IT and its web site at https://www.butler.edu/information-technology/ is the best resource for questions about VPN  AnyConnect, or other tech questions.
